My Love for the Ocean
As a child I loved to play on the beach with waves. One of my favorite things to do was to build little mounds or castles and try to keep them upright and watch as waves crashed into them. The ocean waves would always knock down my mounds eventually, if not instantly, and the ocean brought much joy to my life.
Powerful
I was fascinated by the power the ocean held. The rise and fall of the powerful waves had a beauty to it.
Growth
As I grew up, I grew interested in engineering and technology. It was fascinating to me all the technology and tools we have today, and I was intrigued by the way engineering could solve problems. A point where my connection to nature and engineering collided was renewable energy.
Start of My Journey
Renewable energy was very interesting to me, especially because of its possibilities of one day replacing fossil fuels. When the idea of harnessing the energy of the natural world went into my mind, I immediately thought of the ocean.
Awareness
The lack of development in ocean energy is largely due to its lack of awareness. If you found what you have learned to be interesting, tell other people about it!
